Product Leader | SaaS

I’m a textbook overshare-r, but when it comes to putting pen to paper (or hands to keyboard) and writing an about me bio, the mental block quickly and inevitably makes itself known, so I’ll keep it short and sweet.

I’m currently the Head of Product at uConnect, a company transforming the impact of career services in the B2B2C higher-ed tech space. For over four years, I developed and led our new client operations. Over time, I grew to realize that the passion I had for creative problem solving was fulfilled more in my secondary work helping to brainstorm and map out the direction of our product. For the following two years, I kept myself busy filling two roles, until I was finally able to make the official transition as uConnect’s first Product Manager, and first official hire on our Product team. My time spent in a largely client-facing role served me well, and gave me a solid understanding of how to prioritize client needs with business and strategic value, and the importance of building empathy with the people you serve.

Since then, I’ve developed and honed my skills as a product leader, as I continue to do everyday. I feel strongly that there’s always more to learn from people of all levels of experience, and am excited to share Foundational publicly as a place to facilitate that learning, hold myself accountable to continuous growth, and build community with my peers.

In addition to fueling my fascination with the product world, I spend my free time in awe of my two young children, laughing with my husband, getting my hands dirty in our vegetable garden, pushing the boundaries for how many renovation projects a house can have going at one time, and pursuing a never-ending quest to bake the perfect raspberry pie.
